| Nov 12, 2011 | Sat | 10:00 AM | PetsWest 102 Bear Cat Road Aledo, Texas 76008 | The next Business Meeting including a seminar for the Lone Star Bernese Mountain Dog Club. 10am to NOON Speaker Beth Bowers of Power to the Pawz will talk about Health related issues such as First Aid, Bloat, Heat Stroke and other emergencies that could face your pooch! NOON to 1:00pm Business Meeting and LUNCH 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Dawn Letry will have a grooming seminar. Please come prepared to START at 10 am. Give yourself time to potty and settle in the dogs. Dogs are welcome. BRING your own chairs and crate if desired. Dogs must be on leash in the building. There is fenced area outside where dogs can enjoy a bit of off leash. PLEASE pick up after dogs LUNCH will be onsite. Cold cuts/Cheeses/Rolls and Chips/Desserts. We will celebrate our dogs with a special Hawaiian event. Please dress Hawaiian style and get ready for the hulaberner contest. At 10 am we will start with a BERNERGARDE Health Clinic. There will be clinician so your berner can participate by donating a small amount of blood and do a cheek swab for DNA. Database operator will be on hand to record any information about your dog, such a illness,certifications or statistics, height weight. ALL bernese, pet show and RESCUE are to participate. Please plan on attending. At noon we will have a Hawaiian Chilifest with a Chili Buffet and punch, Hawaiian of course. The meeting will take place during the noon hour. After lunch the fun begins with Agility and your berner. Beginners and advanced can participate. We will start at 10 am and have three stations for you and your dog to enjoy. The stations include, Rally Obedience, Agility and Draft work. Bring your dogs to learn about these fun events you can participate in with your dog. All will be taught at the beginner level by members experienced in each venue. Participation ribbons and prizes! A Texas Bar-B-Que will be served at noon with the meeting. There is no charge for the food, please just bring a beverage and a dessert to pass. Also bring a chair.
